 Imagine your next get-together in our 200 year old inn or in a historic tavern that was visited by George Washington. How about outdoors in a riverside park? Or, perhaps you would like us to come to your home. The Inn by the Bandstand's private caterer can cater your next meeting, workshop, reunion or gathering on or off site! THE INN Our event rental space holds up to 49 people. Dinners, showers, parties and meetings hold 26 people seated or 49 people standing. The Inn by the Bandstand is your perfect choice for bridal and baby showers, anniversary and birthday celebrations, retirement and graduation parties, holiday gatherings, and more. Our classic federal style townhouse offers an intimate and serene setting with a touch of modern conveniences. THE FOLSOM TAVERN Another historically distinguished and unique venue is the Folsom Tavern, owned and operated by the American Independence Museum. Through an agreement with the Museum, we are able to offer you an event venue like no other, and one in which George himself had breakfast! President Washington stopped by the tavern on the morning of November 4, 1789 to ‘partake of a collation’ during his tour of New England. The Folsom Tavern holds up to 75 people standing and 46 people seated. The entire tavern is open to guests which features museum displays about the building. The Tavern originally stood next to the Inn by the Bandstand. SWASEY PARKWAY Swasey Parkway was a gift to the Town of Exeter from Ambrose Swasey in November 1931. The Parkway follows the Squamscott River and is lined with trees and park benches for all to enjoy. A new Pavilion, perfect for large ceremonies with the river as a backdrop, was completed in 2007. Through our event planning services, we can coordinate all neccessary elements as well as provide complete catering for any event planned at the Park. We provide exceptional hospitality, catering, and unique space options. Venue rental is $150 per hour for a minimum of four hours of use and does not include any wait staff. Please inquire as to the current self-catering room rates. We are pleased to prepare personal recipes to customize your event, however, all food and beverages must be prepared or provided by our private caterer. Whether it's light hors d'oeuvres or a multi-course meal, we'll work with you to ensure that your event is everything you hoped for. The Inn by the Bandstand has been a home of memories for nearly 200 years, and we hope that you can be part of the experience and create your memories with us.
