Billingsgate Deli (161 Water Street, Exeter) Perfect grabbing a delicious fresh sandwich and then heading to the park for a picnic lunch. D Squared Java Exeter's professional baristas offer craft coffee and tasty treats. Blue Moon Evolution (8 Clifford Street, Exeter) Fresh, local, organic food in a fine dining atmosphere. St Anthony's Bakery (231 Water Street, Exeter) Right at the base of Swasey Parkway, this is the perfect spot to grab a baked treat! Stillwell's Riverwalk Ice Cream (109 Water St, Exeter) Delicious ice cream, right at the beginning of Swasey Parkway. Sugar & Ice Creamery Homemade ice cream served in warm waffle cones (baked to order), sweet or savory crepes, and penny candy. Play
There are several parks in the area that are a blast to visit! Swasey Parkway runs along the river and joins up with the downtown shopping district (it's a great lunch spot!). For the more adventurous, amble over to Gilman Park and enjoy the playground, historic cannons, and riverbend setting. You can also stroll through the Phillips Exeter Campus, admiring the historic architecture. History buff? Visit the Exeter Historical Society!
